Canadian Events & Opportunities
“TIO in Canada” began September 2012, a special section of The Interfaith Observer (TIO) featuring Canadian interfaith news and programs in this monthly international publication. Rev. Leslie Gabriel Mezei is Editor of TIO in Canada. TIO hopes that other countries or regions will follow Canada’s example and add special sections of their own.
Each month in this section you’ll find a file full of Canadian interfaith news and resources along with an editorial. A second file will announce major upcoming interfaith events and opportunities for Canadians. Yes, Toronto is featured the most as we begin. But with your support, we will soon be including stories and notices from Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax, Edmonton, Vancouver, and the rest of you.
Send your Canadian events and programs to Canada@theinterfaithobserver.org, which is also where we hope you will send your newsletters. A simple e-mail and a digital photo or two means interfaith activists across Canada will hear about your program or resource.
TIO publishes on the 15th of each month. We have to receive your information a week or more before that, by the 7th of the month or earlier. We’d like to read your news items and feature stories as well, including links to any digital media that covers your community.
Finally, we welcome volunteers or interns who might be willing to help promote TIO in Canada and give Canadian faith communities from all traditions an interfaith platform from which to tell their stories and promote their programs.
